Our College Prospect Camp offers training by top level international coaches. In addition to skills training, the Camp includes lectures on how to maximize an athlete’s opportunity to receive softball scholarships to post secondary institutions.

Feedback from both athletes and parents from the 2004 camp was virtually 100% positive. Comments include:

“Awesome! Mom, I have to go back every year!”

“The best softball clinic I have ever been to.”

“I can, and I will, get a scholarship.”

summer camp

Athletes must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible athlete. Westcoast staff and guest instructors will concentrate on softball and will not be available to chaperone the athletes.

Accommodation and meals are not included in the Camp. However, efforts are made to provide information to attendees about where other athletes are staying. This Camp is supported by the Salmon Arm Minor Softball Association and attendees are welcomed into the softball community in Salmon Arm.

2007 Instructors:

Westcoast Softball is pleased to announce that Howard Kobata will be returning to instruct at the College Prospect Camp. Since Howard began coaching in 1987 his accomplishments include: 2 Southern California State Championships, 1 ASA National Championship, top 10 finish 3out of 3 times at Nationals. Howard’s ability to break down the different defensive techniques, and his logical explanations, have made him a standout in the defensive area of the game. His clinics are in great demand across the USA and Canada.

Please visit this page regularly for updates on instructors. Cost of the College Prospect Camp will be posted on this page once arrangements are finalized.
